If codearmor is becoming prominent you'd expect to see groups specifically researching and addressing it just like flexlm and other popular widely propagated protections. There are also programs like little snitch / wireshark that can identify the networks processes are trying to access - maybe a way to start a list.īTW, since somebody mentioned IE running via codearmor or some such, cant IE just be disabled? I dont use it as my browser so Im happy to nuke that POS if there is a way.Īgreed, turning off internet is kindof 'well yeah duh' Like when you call tech support and they say 'reinstall windows, and buy a new computer while you are at it' Gee thanks!
Anyhow, I recall a way to stop SW from calling home from some time ago, I will see if I can dig it up. I'm surprised SSQ hasn't addressed this issue in the main patching. What we seek is a way to keep internet available while stopping the SW rogue programs / methods from phoning home.
But not being online while using the SW tools is a huge pain isnt it?
